A bar straight out of 1920’s prohibition America, from the moment you walk in you are taken back to a much forgotten era. Once inside you can sit up at the bar, at one of our shared high tables, our low banquette and coffee table seating, or a more intimate and private booth.
Secretly hidden behind our book case, the Whisky Room owes its name to our large collection of rare and exclusive whiskies that live here. It is also home to our Bottle Lockers, where you can purchase your favourite spirit bottle from Eau-de- Vie and store it for your next visit.
The Whisky Room can be transformed into a private space and is the perfect place for private events for groups of 15 – 40 guests. It is also – when not booked – the ideal place to enjoy one of our whiskies.
The Eau-de-Vie Library is home to our degustation table from where we host our 5 course, cocktail degustation experience. This communal table is available for up to 16 guests and can also be hired exclusively for corporate and private events.
Eau-de-Vie Melbourne thoroughly enjoys hosting classes; whether you are looking to hone your knowledge, or just have some fun. These special occasions are great to do with a group of friends or a fun way to encourage team building amongst your staff.
Masterclasses can be held as either part of an evening event in our Whisky Room, or an afternoon event and are fully customisable to suit your event and budget. All sessions are hosted by one of our passionate bartenders.

Eau-De-Vie Melbourne takes online reservations for 1 - 10 guests. Should you not see availability for the date, time or party size that you are looking for, please contact the venue directly to explore alternate availability. Please note that should you have multiple bookings for the same date and time your parties will not be sat together nor will they be able to mingle between tables. During VIC COVID-19 trading restrictions all bookings will be closely held to their 90 Minute booking period, maximum party size of 10 guests and must be seated at all times. Patrons visiting the venue are required to provide their name and number via an in venue App on arrival. Eau-de-Vie requires credit card details to secure your reservation. A charge of $25 per person applies for any cancellation, non arrival or partial attendance within 24 hours of the reservation. Our 5-course, cocktail degustation is a one-of-a-kind, theatrical & tantalising, food and beverage experience hosted by our experienced team. This dinner is held in our Library and is a shared dining experience for up to 16 guests. Available to be booked as individual seats or exclusive events.
To secure a reservation for our degustation experience we require credit card details and incur a $150 per person cancellation fee for less than 48 hours notice. Please note degustation bookings are based strictly on availability and require a minimum of 48 hours notice. We can cater for most allergies and dietary requirements with prior notice, however this experience cannot cater for vegan guests.
