Eau-De-Vie Sydney is an intimate, dimly lit, jazz infused speakeasy created for the discerning bon vivant. Let our amicable hosts and expert team of bartenders transport you back to a much forgotten era where great service, cocktails, tommy guns and good times were king. Eau-De-Vie is a French expression that translates to “water of life.” Spirits such as French brandy (eau-de-vie), whisk(e)y, vodka and aquavit from Norway, all take their names from the alchemic notion that spirits were an elixir of life.

Like it’s Darlinghurst original, the enormous back bar takes centerstage at Eau-de-Vie where bartenders shake, stir, flame and throw iconic Eau-de-Vie creations like the Smokey Rob Roy, Espresso Zabione and Yuzu Mule along with an extensive list of new libations.

The Whisky Room owes its name to our large collection of rare and exclusive whiskies that live here. It is also home to our Bottle Lockers, where you can purchase your favourite spirit bottle from Eau-de- Vie and store it for your next visit.

The Whisky Room can be transformed into a private space and is the perfect place for private events for groups of 15 – 40 guests. It is also – when not booked – the ideal place to enjoy one of our whiskies.

Masterclass

Eau-de-Vie Sydney thoroughly enjoys hosting classes; whether you are looking to hone your knowledge, or just have some fun. These special occasions are great to do with a group of friends or a fun way to encourage team building amongst your staff.

Masterclasses can be held as either part of an evening event in our Whisky Room, or an afternoon event and are fully customisable to suit your event and budget. All sessions are hosted by one of our passionate bartenders.

Reservations

Eau-De-Vie Sydney takes online reservations for 1 – 14 guests up to 60 days in advance. Should you not see availability for the date, time or party size that you are looking for, please contact the venue directly to explore alternate availability. Please note that should you have multiple bookings for the same date and time your parties will not be sat together nor will they be able to mingle between tables. Eau-de-Vie requires credit card details to secure your reservation. A charge of $25 per person applies for any cancellation, non arrival or partial attendance within 24 hours of the reservation. Please note we do not otherwise charge anything to your card at the time of booking or arrival.
